>>435927>Honestly the only similarities in early d3 were actually stuff only someone really into the game would've known
no it's the exact opposite. the stuff d3 "addresses" is superficial crap that people who didn't get d2 thoroughly "figured out". barter trading created a community in d2 and made getting the good items more special & rare. it wasn't some faceless auction where you make a bot and rent a server near blizzards so you get faster load and then instantly buy perfect items.>under-permanence of choices was an answer to constantly shooting yourself
i don't really get what you mean by this. i guess you mean people making mistakes on their characters? you realize there's character editors and you could freely test anything you wanted in d2? trial and error is part of life and part of the fun in d2 as well. because items required certain stats you had to develop unique characters if you wanted to min/max perfectly.>just wasn't hard.
life isn't hard either you eat, drink, sleep, and pee/defecate. that doesn't mean you understand anything about life or are good at it. that's the beauty of a good game and life.
diablo 3 is similar to d2 as in humans breathe air and eat so they're similar. even if all the saints got turned into black women and it became about the ghetto/black supremacy it'd be closer than d3 to d2. d2 was unique when it was released nowadays random loot, leveling, and killing monsters just doesn't cut it even if you plaster a diablo theme on it.
