>>647124I would agree that the bible is a collection of different books written by different men.
Some people believe in biblical inerrancy, some don't.
The recorded words of Jesus are worth more than Paul's, despite his letters making up most of the new testament. There is an extremely convincing way Jesus talks that has not ever been replicated, in 2,000 years no one has been able to copy his manner of speech, it's the difference of speaking from divine authority and knowledge.
Do you believe every line of the bible is divinely inspired? Well I can actually prove it's not, Solomon wrote Ecclesiastes and it explicitly states he does not know this or that, would God say "I don't know this or that, I'm clueless"? No, it's just Solomon writing. Most of the new testament is just Paul writing letters to early churches.
More important questions would be, do you believe God contacted Moses, helped raise up this people from slaves to rulers of the Levant that destroyed false Gods and prevailed over them, and among these people prophets such as Isaiah, and the Davidic line leading to the messiah prophesied by Isaiah? Do you believe what he specifically has to say?
