https://www.protondb.com/Even new and demanding games work. Ace Combat 7 just came out, works perfectly. Dark Souls 1/2/3, MHW, Dragon Quest XI, Nier Automata, Overwatch, Paladins, DragonBall Fighter Z, A Hat in Time, Tekken 7, Soul Calibur 6, etc. All work on Linux.
Some games do still need manual workarounds for Windows Media Player and now Media Foundation, to play certain games that use these for video files.
Like the new Resident Evil 2 remake works, but it needs a workaround for Media Foundation.
There is a CodeWeavers (Wine) developer working on a Media Foundation implementation right now though.
