My opinion of the FF7 Remakes in general is becoming more negative.

This should've just been one game, there's a lot of time-wasting padding, Rebirth is just a massive time sink game.

The combat isn't that good, it's certainly not fair. Damage is unavoidable, it actually reminds me a bit of the Fallout VATS system, I remember someone saying Fallout is an RPG not an FPS, and that line stuck in my memory strongly. You just have to take the unavoidable damage, it's an "RPG" not a Souls-like (unfortunately).

The story/writing is getting extremely stupid. I really would've preferred if they just remade the original story. Slow presentation also hurts it, they have a builtin 2x fast-forward button for cutscenes, I don't need to see a 30 second cutscene of Cloud getting into bed, this could be like 5 seconds.

Only definitely good things is the materia customization system, music, and Aerith/Yuffie's ingame models make me horny.

I like using vim after I spent a day learning it, just ssh'd into my server to edit some PHP

I showed my mom that vim is already installed on her macbook air and she was really impressed, I explained that people only had terminals in the past and they still had to copy/paste multiple lines of text without a mouse, and I showed her tricks like inserting things to multiple lines, visual block mode and deleting blocks of text, all the archaic keybinds, etc.
