DoD DIRECTIVE 5240.01
I read most of this, it's hard to parse the real meaning behind the verbose shit salad of words.
Some people are complaining it authorizes broader use of lethal force by the US military against citizens, filed just weeks before the election.
To me, it does not matter what their documents say, they can twist them any way they want, you can't trust things just because they were written by some lawyer faggot.
Like if some federal agency policy says "muh 4th amendment we can't spy on US citizens" it actually means they just get the Australian government or Google to do it for them.
The only thing that protects you is the laws of reality, trusting a VPN no-log privacy policy vs. trusting onion routing.
Trusting the 4th amendment to protect you from unreasonable searches and seizures vs. burying your encrypted SD cards in a capsule off-site.
Trusting the legal process to exonerate you for being innocent vs. shooting your would-be kidnappers and fleeing the country.

Anything is allowed in a street fight.
The same goes for US law. If you're fighting the state, they can do literally anything they want.
You can cry "that's against the rules!" all you want. Only the rules that define reality protect you, the US constitution is a piece of paper.
Behind all the paperwork and official facade, it truly comes down to violence vs. violence.
