I'm gonna make hash browns like this

- Peel the potato
- Grate it in a cheese grater (but I'm using it for potato haha)
- Mix it with egg + flour + salt
- Fry in cast-iron pan with butter

If any one wants one you can come over. I saw a post about how McDonalds is charging $3 for $0.10 worth of potato hash browns so I figure I'd make my own with this bag of potatoes we have.

I'm never making hash browns again

Peeling the potatoes was time consuming, grating the potatoes was even more time consuming and requires physical exertion

The egg/flour ruined them, maybe if you do it perfect but otherwise it's retarded, don't do it

The ones I cooked with just olive oil/salt turned out okay-ish, but they were too thick so the insides were gooey, and it was overall really difficult and they take super long to cook. I needed to just use a thin layer of potato to fry up but I didn't feel like sitting there all day

Fuck cooking

pretty cool you can't catch these custom ban reasons anymore at least you knew old mods were real people who enjoyed funposting on the boards like you and not corporate Gaia stooges under constant fbi surveillance

did you wash the grated potato then squeeze out the excess water

I watched a youtube video from a hash brown expert who preformed hash brown experiments, and he said rinsing the potato doesn't matter, but squeezing out the water does

And no, I didn't.

You have to squeeze out the water with paper towels and microwave it for 30 seconds over and over. It takes forever and you use like half a roll of toilet paper because there is a shit ton if water in the potatoes

the "idiot pedo" bans are so overused they might as well be automated at this point.

Sigh still didn't know what to do about my 42 bans permaban.
I called the Internet company and asked them to change my IP address and she was like I have to ask my supervisor and then she said the supervisor said "it's dynamic we can't change it but don't worry it'll change soon" and I said "uh no I've had this ip for at least 4 years it never changes" and she said "uhh that doesn't sound right. Well you can turn off your modem for a bit and it will change" and I said how long and she said let me ask the supervisor and call you back and then she called back and said he doesn't really know but probably a couple days (it doesn't, I know first hand it takes somewhere between around a week and two weeks. Who is gonna turn off their internet for a whole couple days even if that did work anyway? That's not a solution) then asked if I wanted a static ip and I said no, and then she said have you tried using a VPN and I said yeah but I don't want to use one. And then I said it's okay thanks for trying I appreciate it and hung up.
And now I'm paranoid about otamin tallying up my posts. nowhere is safe from the tyranny of administration I hate the internet

Do you have DSL/cable or fiber optic?

If you have DSL/cable in America, buy your own modem/router. The ISP issues an address via DHCP based on the MAC address of the WAN port on the router that connects to the modem.

I've heard Verizon fiber-optic is impossible to change IP address though. Not being able to change IP address scares me.

i can't do that on this one
btw that's not true for Verizon FiOS all you have to do is go into the router setting and click release dhcp and wait a minute and click renew and you have a new IP address. Those were good times…
