From a turn-based gameplay perspective, the Final Fantasy games are some of the worst

Except FFXIII-3 Lightning Returns, that has one of the best ever made. FFX-2 is okay, XIII and XIII-2 are okay.

Everything before that is really bland, or "oh shit wtf are you doing"-tier like 8 and 2.
