okay im swimming a bit better now, I can kick and float but when i go on the side for air my face doesnt come out of the water and kicking stops working halfway across when theres no more momentum off pushing off the wall
i cant make it one length of the pool

also my chest really hurts

I have the opposite problem. I can't dive. Even if I jump into the pool and get pretty deep I rocket back up to the surface like an inflatable ball. It's my head that seems to be what's doing it too, almost as if there's only air inside my skull and nothing else.
On the plus side, I'll probably never drown.
