They do typically use antibiotics and vaccines though.

in 1960 the median rent in the us was $71 a month and minimum wage was $1.00 since then rent has increased about 15.5x while minimum wage has increased 7.25x (currently $7.25) which means that over 2% who earn this amount have had their budget decreased by half compared to previous generations on minimum wage so this is the lowest boundary and we can find the middle of that boundary by looking at the median income in 1960 which was $5600 compared to 2020 which was $67,000 thats an income increase of ~12x which means that the average person has had their budget decreased by ~20% compared to previous generations on a median income
this difference goes well with the official data
https://www.bls.gov/opub/mlr/2001/05/art3full.pdfwhere housing budget was around ~29% in 1960 and is now at ~35% in 2021 thats an increase of ~18% and boomers like to claim that this rise in housing costs is because new houses are bigger than before thats true but materials are cheaper as well other things to note is that the budget for food was far greater than it is now so that begs the question would you rather spend more on food which had a higher nutritional content in the past or on bigger cheaper housing budget on clothing has also changed greatly the average american spends 2% of their budget on clothing

a big difference compared to 11% in 1960 and boomers like to paint the picture that young americans nowadays cant afford housing because they spend their income frivolously like buying a new iphone every week but that is just not the case what seems to be a big problem here is that income is not catching up to the cost the free market determines in areas like housing im not even going to go into depth with the problem of education and how ~40% of recent graduates work where a degree is not required
