There's no point in learning something you don't have natural talent for.

I didn't know there was a gene that allows you to play the piano well.

Talent has nothing to do with genes, it's part of the soul like consciousness.

Well done!

I didn't do too much with the piano/keyboard but if you're having fun with it you should keep going. With (enjoyable) practice, you can play a lot of songs on it. It is a very versatile instrument.

Learned to play C major chord on both ands and G7 chord on the left hand but it's hard to play the song that uses both of them, it's mary had a little lamb, but the book calls the song "Merrily We Roll Along"
Still can't play Jingle Bells as smoothly as possible on the last part but I moved on.

I played jingle bells smoothly now and mary had a little lamb then I learned to play that part in From the New World, that was easy though. And then I learned the G7 chord on the right hand and now I have to play another song but it's pretty hard to play, I don't know if I can do it.

I didn't use the piano yesterday…

You know, I think it may just be because I haven't heard this song before. All the other stuff till now were songs I have not only heard, but know the melody by heart already, and I guess that helped a lot.

I more or less got that last song that was giving me trouble down. Then I moved onto the next part which was laying song in 3/4 time signature. And I played the song they game me to play there. It also requires you to move you hands up and own the keyboard a bit, to play on higher octaves.
Also I listened to someone play the songs on youtube and an old man explained some stuff in the book too

Yesterday I learned another chord on the left hand, F major I think it was. The next song was when the saints go marching in. It's long, but I know this song so it was relatively easy to get the hang of. I spent the day yesterday practicing it. But then they wanted me to switch hands. I didn't really get where to put my hand for the chord on the right hand. Changing chords on my right hand is much harder.
I didn't practice today yet because I've been listening to mogra

The day before I learned a new hand position. Before all this time my hands were in the C position, now I learned G position. I also played a short song in that position.
I didn't get a chance to practice yesterday…
I've been reading more on trying to learn music theory and how to train my ear to hear song than actually playing lately. But it's hard, really hard. I can't even find a beat on a song, it feels impossible. Maybe I'll just continue on though the book.

ear training takes time, a lot of time, but you'll improve as long as you keep at it
even if it feels impossible now eventually things will click and you'll understand it
