You know something called price controls exist right?

You can literally just tell them they're not allowed to sell eggs for higher than a certain price

You can actually do this with EVERYTHING, or at least necessities like housing and food, and it works with no downsides.

Everything would continue as normal except people could afford things.

There is also this thing called central planning. It overrides the free market "invisible hand", even though shareholders would gladly kill people if it was legal and profitable, so the state can just fund and direct certain industries to be more productive and efficient rather than focusing solely on shareholder greed.

We could literally, unironically make basic housing and food free for everyone.

That is the power of central planning, there is no profit motive.

>durr hurr that's impossible

North Korea successfully does it, and how the fuck do you think healthcare is free in 99% of the world, basic housing and a ration of food could also be free with only a small fraction of the wealth of billionaires who do fucking nothing.

you do realize "free" healthcare for say, in most european countries is basically subsidized out of your own pocket via much higher income taxes
i mean i think it's a better system but your understanding of things is embarrassingly childish

Taxes should be almost entirely on corporations and the rich. There should actually be a wealth cap too.

>"But they'll le leave"

Simply make it illegal for them to leave (with their money/wealth). Make it illegal for US companies to do manufacturing overseas instead of trying to use retarded tariffs as a replacement for central planning.

You could do all this tomorrow and everything would keep functioning, except things would be vastly better for the bottom 50% of the country.

The only reason you think this is childish or not possible is because you're brainwashed. The top 0.1% of the USA owns over 5 times more wealth than the bottom 50% combined.

And by "wealth" you mean they own x pieces of paper that says they own some percentage of some company and the last selling price of such a piece of paper was y so their """wealth""" is x*y if you ignore that the price would drop to 0 the moment they started selling.

You don't force them to sell the stocks, you confiscate them, the owner of the shares is now the state, and you don't dump the shares, though you may redistribute them.

We could even have a stock portfolio for every person in the US, rich people's confiscated shares could be evenly distributed to every person in the US. If you don't actively sign up for it, it is automatically managed for you.

Russia actually did something very similar after the collapse of the USSR in the early 90s, but it was done in a corrupt fashion.

This is a less radical solution to wealth redistribution and implementing a wealth cap, easily compatible with the current capitalist system (as opposed to Mao Zedong'ing them which you could totally do and the world would keep spinning).

Any more questions?

The next pendulum swing back in America will be very focused on the proletariat, wealth distribution, and cost-of-living, even if they're lying.

You laugh but check in 2028 what kind of platform the Democrats' are running on.

Democrats realize they lost because they don't give a single fuck about the proletariat, and don't even pretend to.

I sincerely hope this is either your meme joke post or your own personal theory and not what your philosophy professor commie cope cartel theory circle actually disseminated as the official propaganda.

First of all, you miss the point. Stocks are not really wealth. It doesn't mean anything if I own 6 gazillion dollars of a stock. I can't actually turn that into 6 gazillion dollars, the price will tank more and more the more I offload.

Secondly, someone has to actually buy the stock. After you distribute the stocks evenly to every person in the US, who is supposed to actually buy them, you retard? And what happens when they do? You just re-redistribute them? You have simultaneously eliminated all demand and destroyed all confidence in the stock market. You're almost implying a stock market would exist under a commie regime but that's impossible.

The most you can do is distrubte the assets of each company amongst the population, which by the way would be far, far less than their collective stock prices. That distribution of assets is a last resort cope after the company goes bankrupt and after its stock price is basically worthless anyway. Everyone will get a rounding error worth of resources, and simultaneously all production of everything will cease and you will be North Korea like you wanted.

Just get a fucking job and stop crying about the proletariat that you're not a member of. You can program, right?

It's very clear you have zero understanding of how stocks work, and have never seen a brokerage account in your life.

A stock transferring ownership doesn't require any sale, you can just give shares from person A to person B, no buying or selling and thus no effect on the share price.

Do you think if someone dies they forcibly sell the shares instead of transferring them to a family member bro?
