Back in 2013 the moderation on 4chan /jp/ became unbearably strict. There was a culture of 2D/random posting, which was very different from what you see today on ota, that was being exterminated mostly by one single janitor.
Basically anything other touhou or general threads were deleted. So someone created ota-ch.tk, this was a different person than the current admin who runs ota-ch.com today. ota-ch.tk shut down, and the current admin created ota-ch.com, he's kind of a cunt and bans too many people and deletes too much content though.
Ota is very different from old 4chan /jp/, which was much funnier. Ota used to be more centered around nothing but "cuteposting", but we have since evolved into a small group of weirdos discussing a wider range of topics. It's like a communal house of 20 people where most of the residents are sick of the other ones.
