How is it a slight downgrade? It's basically the same with a few extra things like wall jumps and recovery attacks. I also appreciated the medium difficulty because SV's easy was too easy and it's hard was too hard for me usually.

Wouldn't say downgrade. It feels like every improvement also messed up something else.

You can counter ninja arts with a higher level one. But normal combat is worse with weak attacks not flinching. So the game turns into spamming quick power attacks until you get a stun.

Each costume has 5 colors and you start with them all unlocked. But there's less costumes over all. Some that were in the base game of SV were removed and made DLC.

There's less ugly pantsu, but less variety over all. And they're all based on a few character's designs, of which there's less of.
