>>2994what you're saying is literally wrong my man
the main models of schizophrenia cause are:
1. hypofrontality (excess CSF in the ventricles)
2. excess dopamine in the brain acting on receptors
3. glutamate excess (NMDA over activation)
and FINALLY
4. Insult to/ damage to the developing foetal brain/ child brain
The main risks can be classified as Societal, Familial, Prenatal and Postnatal
Arguably Societal can be linked to environment however it's more accurate to say that disruption of neurotransmission is from underlying effects of Societal interactions within the Autonomic/ Somatic Nervous System and the physiological (not psychological fully) consequences
Even at this it's proven that genes like dysbindin, DISC1 and neuregelin has CONCLUSIVE evidence to show increased schizophrenia incidence
To say "environment activates genes" is an extreme oversimplification of a nuanced subject of Pharmacology, Physiology and Psychology as yeah environment leads to genetic change but it isn't straight "everything is environment" as otherwise there would be no point in investigating further as who would care of their effects if it happens anyway
