Maybe you guys haven't noticed, but Google made it so you can't open locally saved .swf files in Chrome or Chromium.
It will just ask you if you want to save the file. Flash files have to be displayed in a webpage.
I made it so I can just double click a .swf file and it will run a script that copies it to a webserver directory running locally on my computer, then opens Chromium to an HTML file I wrote. You can see it all in this screenshot.
I looked around, and there is hundreds of people complaining about how they can't view .swf files, because Chrome just asks them to download it.
Eventually Google plans on making the flash plugin not even work…
Here it is, December 2020 they plan on killing pepper-flash.
Sigh, f33lio damn dealio… Why? Just keep it disabled by default and really hard to use, you don't need to fully remove pepper-flash support from the codebase…
